Hi, I’m Paige,
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Before becoming a counselor, I spent five years teaching elementary school, where I saw firsthand how much kids, families, and even educators carry emotionally. Over time, I began to recognize a deeper need for emotional support — not just in the classroom, but in life. Combined with the impact counseling had in my own life, I felt called to help others in a more personal and lasting way.
That calling led me to pursue a Master of Arts in Counseling and School Counseling, which I completed at MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2024. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working as a school counselor, now entering my third year in that role. In this work, I support students and families through everything from day-to-day challenges to more complex emotional needs.
In addition to my work in schools, I gained clinical experience through an internship at a local organization supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and youth navigating the foster care system. These experiences have deepened my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the power of being seen and supported.
Currently, I am practicing under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure I’m providing effective, evidence-based care. Whether you're a child, teen, adult, or parent, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Therapy is a courageous step — and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you turn the page and begin a new chapter toward healing and hope.

Do you offer a sliding scale for fees?
A sliding scale is available to help make counseling more affordable for those with financial need. Rates are adjusted based on household income and individual circumstances. If you are interested in this option, there is a short application process to determine eligibility. If you qualify, a reduced fee will be applied to your sessions. This helps ensure that support remains accessible while honoring the value of the services provided and the space.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not currently accept insurance but do offer a sliding scale option. With that being said, upon request I do provide billable receipts or “ super bills” that you can turn into your insurance company for potential out of network benefits. However, I cannot guarantee your insurance company will accept these. If this is an important factor in your decision for therapy, please check with your insurance company first. I am more than willing to send you my license number and national provider number if you would like to check availability for reimbursement.
How do I make an appointment?
You may call (913) 712-4173 for a free 15 minute phone consultation or you can email paigemccaslin@anewpaigecounseling.com If I am unavailable to answer immediately, please leave a non-emergency voicemail and I will contact you within 24 hours of your call. In the case of an emergency call 911 or for a mental health emergency call 988.
How long will I be in therapy?
The length of time a client spends in counseling can vary based on several factors- including the concerns being addressed, your personal goals, how often sessions take place, and the effort put in both during and between sessions. As the client, you have the right to end therapy at any point, and in most cases, you will decide when you feel ready to conclude the counseling process.
What if I need to cancel a session or reschedule?
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. You will be charged the full amount if you cancel within 24 hours prior to your scheduled session. However, you will not be billed if your cancellation is due to an unexpected emergency. If this were to become a theme, we would discuss it in session. Please call me to report a cancellation as soon as you are aware that you cannot make your scheduled appointment. If I am unable to answer, leave a voicemail.
